Who would have thought
The competition isnt over and greg joseph can very well be resigned if moody falters
Unless some team grabs him.

A lot of us are spoiled with accurate kickers. Joe Nedney, Phil Dawson, David Akers, to Robbie Gould. Moody had a solid rookie year then got hurt. Not to excuse his performance because it was terrible and likely cost us 2 games. I'd give him a shot this year to bounce back personally. He's young, has talent and has yips. Everyone out there is old and either doesn't have the leg strength to kick past 50 or has the same problem
Matt Maiocco on Jake Moody's day:
— Coach Yac 🗣 (@Coach_Yac) August 7, 2025
"Jake Moody had a perfect day, as he connected on field goals of 28, 33, 36, 40, 46, 51, and 54 yards during a special-team period. He also hit a 52-yarder to cap a two-minute drive at the end of practice."

We all know that Moody is an All-Pro in practice.
The issues come up in real games.

The issues are not even the real games as a whole. It's the clutch kicks. Can he make the kicks on a consistant basis with the game on the line.

No he's not, was this an actual rep against the broncos though?

The problem is how do you know which kicker is going to hit the FG in the game until you try? I think it kind of explains why the 49ers spent so much for kickers over the years.
